This extremely well made sterling silver deco bracelet has alternating panels of rectangular quartz and diamond shaped obsidian stones. It was handcrafted by Johanna Van Ryn who worked in Mexcio City in the 1940s. She produced for only a few years and her pieces are hard to find. She sold through a company in New York City that advertised in Harper's Bazaar and Vouge magazines. The bracelet measures 7" in length, 1 1/8" wide from tip to tip on the obsidian stones and is 5/16" thick. Has a V-spring and box clasp that snaps in securely. Marked on the clasp: Johanna Van Ryn, Mexico, STERLING. The opposite side of the clasp is also marked: "P. L." ?(in script), Mexico, STERLING. Weighs 77 grams. In wonderful vintage condition with only two small nicks ( could be polished out) on the top edge of one of the obsidian stones.
