This is a rare calendar published by Nature Magazine for 1938 featuring the wonderful illustrations by the noted artist Diana Thorne. It contains 13 different dogs on the 32 pages of the calendar. Each month of the calendar features a different dog with information about the dog on the back of each page as shown in the third scan. As you can see from the scans at the right t are two drawings on the front of each page of the calendar as well as a small one with the dogs description on the back of each page making a total of 39 drawings including the dog on the front cover.
The calendar measures about 8 1/4" x 10 3/4". It contains all of the pages and is in very good+ condition. T is just a tiny bit of wear at the corner tips and very minor sun toning on the covers
Overall it is in great condition.

The dogs featured in this calendar are; Scotch Terrier on title page (see 2nd scan) Wire Terrier for January German Shepherd for February Doberman Pinscher for March Collie for April French Poodle for May Dachshund for June Boston Terrier for July Bull Terrier for August Airedale for September Spaniel for October Setter for November Foxhound for December

Keep in mind that calendars illustrated with Diana Thorne's dogs rarely show up on ebay (or anyw else) so this may be one of the few chances you have to acquire one for your collection..
