Up for auction is wonderful Estate find.....an 8x10 Silver Gelatin photograph by Diane Arbus.... 'Identical Twins, Roselle, N.J. 1967" Excellent Condition, it has a glossy front with matte finish on the back. Image measures approx. 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" on 8x10 photo paper. NO stress lines, rips, bends or creases. Displays very well. A silver gelatin print means that it was produced in a darkroom on photographic paper, this is NOT a digital reproduction nor was it printed at a 1- hour photo store. Verso of photograph (hand written) says...."Diane Arbus 1967" it also has a label stating reproduced by the Library of Congress. Not sure when this print was made? 1990's? It would look FANTASTIC framed in your home or office, a true conversation piece. Please note: Any stamps, or other markings on the back of the photos I sell show provenance. Handwritten names on the back of the photos were generally for identification purposes only - they are NOT autographs unless specifically identified as such. I have punched up the contrast on the ebay photos so it it easier to see, the actual print is slightly darker. This print is a great find indeed !! No Reserve.
