Rare Disney 1967 Framed Pirates of the Caribbean Postcards In 1967, Disneyland Park issued two sets of six cards featuring some of the original Mare Davis concept sketches for the attraction. The postcards were sold only in New Orleans Square and were originally dispensed from a special postcard vending machine inside the pirate arcade. The cards were sold in two sets, "Set A" and "Set B". Sadly, the postcard machine is no longer t In fact, the pirate arcade is gone as well. The cards were available for a short period of time from a rack in the Pieces of Eight gift shop, but they too are gone forever. Recently a couple of boxes of these original cards were found warehoused and were professionally matted and framed for Cast Members. T were 6 different framed pieces that disappeared almost overnight due to their rarity and beauty. These 6 were framed especially for Disneyland Cast members January 2007. Each two card set is double matted and framed in a 12 by 14 inch decorated frame. These are not just collectibles but incredibly beautiful pieces of art.
