L5#3 WELCOME!!! Thanks for taking a peek!! Up for auction is this RARE!! EARLY CHINESE BRONZE BORDER STAMP QING DY. This piece is very interesting and I believe a VERY rare piece!!! I was told by a friend (Chinese) after reading the marks on this that this stamp was used near the late 1800âe(tm)s from a part of China just outside of Beijing. It was used for people crossing into another part of China, after the persons paperwork was checked and was OK it would be stamped and they were aloud to go through. It was to keep out the âeoerebelsâe or terrorists. I donâe(tm)t know if I explained it right but that is the closest I can get. It measures about 3 Â¾âeW x 2 3/8âeD x 4âeH, the handle is about 1âeW and the stamp is about 3/8âeH, itâe(tm)s VERY heavy weighing about 2.9lbs!! VERY INTERESTING piece!!!!!
