Rare Early Die Cut Excelsior Navashu Indian Shoe Sign

No Reserve. An original early 20th century embossed heavy flocked cardboard diecut advertising sign for Excelsior Navashu Shoes made in Portsmouth New Hampshire. Sign measures approximately 15 1/4" tall by 11" wide with a hole at top for hanging and is figural being in the form of an Indian arrowhead. Sign has a red flocked surface with a colorful multicolor embossed litho figure of an Indian Chief with a different shoe in each hand. The letters are of embossed gilted paper. The sign has a slight curvature to its surface. I do not recall ever seeing another example of this unusual and rare antique advertising sign. Item has some wear at its outside edge as well as some modest soil, no serious flaws and no restoration. Sign is completely fresh to the market from the attic of an old local estate.
