Rare Ellen Bailey Signed Flower Pot Coiled Snakes Snail We're not sure of identification on this one. Clearly signed by Ellen Bailey. Our research shows 2 Ellen Bailey pottery makers. One was a recent potter at the Henry Ford Museum and the other was a slave woman who made pottery. T may be other Ellen Bailey potters but the are the only two we could find references for. If you can share any information on this pot, we'd really appreciate it and will add any useful info to auction listing. Pot looks to be primative in nature. Looks like coiled snakes or serpents on the sides and bottom. Also maybe a snail or two. Pot was used and t is one chip on top rim which can be seen inside and out. Some checking seen on inside of pot only. Pot is about 5" tall and about 5 1/2" wide. Somewhat irregular shape. Doubtful if done at the Henry Ford Museum but possible. This one could be a real find or treasure!! Stay tuned for more great stuff. We will gladly ship overseas for appropriate postage. If you have any questions, please ask early. We will gladly combine shipping for multiple purchases. As always read our terms. Thank you for viewing and please see our other auctions for some other great items. Good Luck!!
