Very Uncommon,Beautiful,Extremely Crude and Early,Excellent Condition, 8 and 7/8th " Tall,Bright Emerald Green,Very Crudely Blown,Entirely Wood Grain-Like,Mottled Surface,Heavily Embossed,Approx.7-Ounce,1860's,Torpedo-Style Sparkling Soda-Water Bottle,with a single ring,excessively tooled,crooked,rolled over,deeply mold marked and scarred,opld-style,applied blob-top collar.The neck is very short and sharply tapered,with a large,fat body,and stubby,pointed base.The Bottle is embossed on the sides in horizontal,very crude strike," GEo(the"o"is elevated/underlined at the top of the"E") GREEN & Co(this"o",exactly as the other) AERATED WATER MANUFACTURERS ABERYSTWITH ".The origin of this bottle has not been authenticated.It's likely English,but t is a "Green" from around Baltimore/Frederick that made an early,torpedo and a pottery soda/mineral water.The texture of the bottle makes it appear like the bottle was blown in a wooden mold,or cooled in a wood cask.T are literally hundreds of bubbles in the glass,and the deep,stretch/tooling marks going up the length of the neck,and under the collar,are incredible,and the neck and collar have bits of dark,slag-glass in it.The base of the collar is rolled up so much that you can fit your thumb-nail under the blob,and t are very deep,horizontal tooling marks in the blob.The entire bottle is very read more
