Hi! Thanks for looking! Nothing in my 8 years as an ebayer has ever come close to the uniqueness of this piece! Absolutely stunning in it's machine age simplicity! I'm told it was purchased around the time of the World's Fair which would make the piece more than 70 years old! A time when streamlined deco was "the future". The legs are copper, the plate on the desk/vanity drawer is bronze! Is it museum quality? No. Could it be in a museum? Absolutely! I think the piece is stunning the way it is, with the worn patina of time gone by. As a retired NYC decorator, I have access to a top notch refinisher who recommended to me that someone may well appreciate it the way it is. So, I leave that up to you! Look long and hard and you won't see anything like it! TRULY MAGNIFICENT IN IT'S ORIGINALITY! Free free to ask questions! I can deliver this to the NYC or Philadelphia area.
