This unique corner chair was made in England, circa 1920 . We purchased the chair in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, England. The chair is crafted from Oak, and has a rich, deep, dark Oak patina. This is an English, late Victorian side chair , in very good condition. This remarkable chair is a fine sample of the Victorian era craftsmanship . The chair has elegantly crafted, bobbin turned crest rails spanning across it's top. This beautifully accompanies the bobbin turned stiles that gently span from the seat, with matching banister rails and banisters. This piece has stunning simplicity and detail abound! The seats are made of woven rush with an ergonomic form. The chair is raised upon bobbin turned legs, with bobbin turned stretchers .
