We purchased the chair in Gloucester, England .The Sewing Box is made of Oak. It has a rich, Deep Oak Patina. This is an English Victorian Sewing Box. It is in very good condition. The Sewing Box has a Lid at the top which can be raised to access the interior. It also has a Right Hand Open Door. The Door is made in Sunken Panel Design. T is a gorgeous Bead and Reel Ornamentation flowing around the inside of the Sunken Panel.The Door opens to reveal a functional interior for storing your sewing and craft supplies.Lovely Moulding embellishes the Apron of the Sewing Box. This Sewing Box retains all its original hardware.This includes the knob. The Cabinet is supported upon Barley Sugar Twist Legs at the front with Stile Legs at the rear. Straight Stretchers connect them.This is a lovely English Victorian Sewing Cabinet with a design rich in character. It will add a charming Victorian elegance to any room in which you place it.
