Up for auction I am pleased to offer this ESTATE,absolutely wonderful old WOODEN African Mask. Very unusual. This wonderful piece came from an avid collector of Old African masks and attire, swords and tools. I know that this is older because the man who was in his late 80's traveled extensively throughout Africa and Ethiopia. I could afford one piece and this is the one that I chose. I know absolutely nothing about these types of items but if you have questions, please ask and I will do the best that I can do to find out the answer. THE MASK MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 15 INCHES LONG FROM THE TIP OF THE HORN TO BOTTOM OF THE MASK. The horns measure about 5 1/2 inches long. The mask at widest point measures 6 1/4 inches. T is one horn that is cracked but can easily be fixed as shown in photo's. A piece on the back side of the mask on the plain wood is missing due to breaking as shown in photo's. Does not affect the face itself. This is truly a wonderful piece to add to your African collection.
