A fine first period Belleek Marine form Porcelain Teapot with an urchin shell pattern body, and entwined seaweed handle, base and spout. The teapot is in excellent condition, having only a very small nick to the spout and shell finial, the base has a partial firing crack from manufacture, t are no chips, cracks or crazing or repairs. The overall size is 4" high by 6-1/2" long, by 4" wide . The underside of the base is impressed 'Belleek Co Fermanagh'. and pink first period backstamp. T is a British diamond registration mark, registered by D.McBirney on Feb 22 1869. Please see our other auctions for other items from the same collection that we have listed this week.
