A fantastic piece of Sinatra & Caesars Palace History offered up for auction. Obtained from the now deceased Estate of Casino Executive, Mr. Billy Maxwell of the Sands & Caesars Palace. we have an item never seen by us or our Casino Antique Associates with all of our combined year's of collecting Las Vegas items of historic & entertainment value. This heavy bronzed toned metal plaque with Sinatra as Caesar on the face, weighs a hefty, approx. 12 ounces. and is approx. 4.1/4 inches across in diameter. This beautiful rare item was specially ordered by Caesars Marketing & Entertainment Departments to commemorate this special 1st. time performance of Frank Sinatra coming over to Caesars Palace from his long time home at The Sands Hotel & Copa Room. Now for a bit of Las Vegas history as told by employees that were t! ... Sinatra owned a small percentage of The Sands Hotel and performed their exclusively. During a famous argument with the Sands Casino Manager, Carl Cohen in the Sands Coffee Shop over no more credit markers for Sinatra, Frank became outraged and cursed Carl Cohen who was sitting in a booth eating. Frank made threats, slurs and other nasty remarks to Carl for cutting him off. Carl who had enough bullying, stood up and punched Sinatra in the mouth, knocking out his front teeth.
