These signed Frankart 1925 modernist art deco elephant bookends are guaranteed old, genuine and original. They are circa 1925 and display all the attributes of the modernist extreme art deco period. They are cast pot metal, signed on the bases, and have an original silver chrome finish that is over 95 percent intact. One still has the original felt on the base. They measure 6 inches high and weigh 4 pounds the pair. The elephant is just so deco, like a circus elephant with it's giant feet all bunched up on double tiered pedestal and those huge ears and giant trunk just striking lines and curves.
