FRENCH EMPIRE COLUMN CLOCK WITH GABLE ESCAPEMENT & RARE FIRE GILDED BRONZE REPOUSSÉ PENDULUM MADE ABOUT 1850 IN COMPETE ORIGINAL CONDITION We proudly present you this absolutely rare French Portico Clock with rare movement with gable escapement, and also rare repoussé pendulum. The dial frame and the pendulum show the same motives. This clock is not a Marrige !! Look at the detailed pictures, they show you all from this French mantel clock in excellent original condition. The case and the pillars have inlays in excellent condition, as you also can see at the detailled pictures. The end of the columns have on the top and on the bottom fine fire gilded bronze mountings. They are a part of the portico in between the original heavy fire gilded bronze repoussé pendulum swings. The fire gilded bronze parch pendulum shows wonderful ornaments in high quality. It´s absolutely fantastic to see this pendulum swinging inside the four pillar portico. The case with the columns is just as it was made for more than 155 years, and is unrestored. It´s in a very very good condition for it´s age. The original enamel dial in mint condition, and has an unreadable signature. The dial has a beautiful fire gilded bronze frame. The pendulum shows the same motives, so you can be sure that everything belongs to each other, and hat this clock is NOT a MARRIAGE . The hands are the original steel hands. The absolute rare original movement has a rare gable escapement. It is in fantastic condition, works well and strikes the half and the full hours ( hours will be counted ) on the original silver plated bronze bell. The movement was checked by our master clockmaker, and it's a real beautiful eye catcher. Such a very rare Portico Empire Column Clock with gable escapement is an absolute highlight in every collection. Only a few ones like this were made about 1850, and this one in this excellent condition you will never get again. The original old key belongs to the clock.
