French aqua glass "Codd" type bottle, embossed "BRASSERIE MEHREMBERGER GUERET" on the front and " BREVETE S.G.D.G." on the back. This is the french equivalent of "patented" and is rare in that the vast marority of "french" Codds were imported from England and are always embossed on the back "IMPORTE DE ANGLETERRE". This is a french patent, whether taken out by Codd himself or someone copying his design, I don't know, I've never seen another like it. Cellar found, I've rinsed the dirt off the outside, but needs a good internal clean. In mint condition, no chips/cracks, measures 10 1/2" (26 cm.) high. Please e-lail me if you need more information/photos..
