This is a authentic of the period Hearing Aid-Hearing Trumpet walking Stick that is almost impossible to find.If one of these comes up each year at auction,thats a lot.This one is quite the piece.Similar can be found in Cane Curiosa-Dike..Pg 235..Canes Through the Ages Pg.171..and other cane books..The hearing device part is made from metal..no marks as to maker or content..about 5 1/4' Tall from the shaft..4 1/2" wide..earpiece swivels nicely..end has a pretty embossed design..and there are some dents in the handle as shown..could probably be taken out..but not by me..mounted to a full bark Malacca shaft that shows some wear towards the bottom,and ends with a 2 part steel ferrule that is a little loose from wood shrinkage.Very rare and hard to find item.This may be the only one you see this year.Great for the advanced collector.
