RARE GEORGE A JONES ANTIQUE CLOCK MOVEMENT 1871 PATENT!

This a rare old GEORGE A JONES movement with puzzling features. It has a rack and snail strike mechanism, and a rear escape set-up similar to a kitchen clock. The mainsprings are contained in open barrels. It has a top hammer that seems to indicate a top mounted bell strike. The mainsprings are sound. The pivots show only minor wear. T has been some unprofessional replacement of the little springs that press on the clicks. The verge adjustment arm, the hammer arm, and a couple other places have been soldered. It all looks restorable. The external kitchen-type verge is missing. The winders are spaced 2-13/16 inches. Handshaft to winding arbors: 1-13/16 inches. I accept personal checks with no wait for clearance in most cases. Money orders are OK too. Sorry, no Paypal Tom Seaman 108 Coronado Shores Lincoln City OR 97367 Please visit my eBay store!
