Up for your bidding pleasure is this rare atlas of fine engraved plates of voyages to the Pacific Islands undertaken in the late 18th and early 19th century. T are over 72 pages of great engravings and maps, some of which are shown This is the first of its type we have ever come across and seems to be a compilation of all the major voyages atlas's all put in one. Individual plates will sell in the neighborhood of $100 to $200 each and we have seen the elusive Hawaiian foldout map listed for $1450 by a well known print dealer on Maui. The binding on this atlas is all original with the marbled boards still attached and a contemporary slip case has been carefully crafted to match the period boards.
