20 (51 cm.) Wax-over-rose tinted paper mache shoulder head turned slightly to the left, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with center accent line, original blonde mohair wig in elaborately curled and braided coiffure, muslin stitch-jointed body with leather arms, sewn-on striped muslin stockings and rose leather boots. Condition: generally excellent, slight repair to leather arms. Comments: attributed to Barbara Schilling, circa 1875. Value Points: superbly preserved wax doll is nearly impossible to find, wonderful coiffure, original body, original aqua silk fashion gown with lace trim, undergarments. Estimate: 900/1500
