Ancient Medieval or Roman Gold Ring With A Beautiful Green Stone Circa: 1000 - 1650AD This is a Rare Handcrafted Ancient Medieval "possibly earlier Roman" era solid 10k Gold ring with a magnificent green center stone . Stone is fully intact with no cracks or chips. Ring is at least 350+ years old. This ring has a beautiful design and is in excellent condition. Much of the outside of this ring has been professionally cleaned to restore it's original brilliance, beauty and detail. Ring is extremely solid, very well made, and overall appearance and condition are excellent and weighs in at 8 grams! Some of the silver color tarnish has been left in place to highlight the extensive age of this ring. Read below regarding silver color tarnish . PLEASE READ REGARDING THE SILVER TYPE COATING NOTED ON AREAS OF RING AS SEEN IN PICTURE I put this bold color statement for the non-antiquity folks who usually don't take the time to read the below explanation, and think the silver coating means the ring is gold plated. The ring IS NOT gold plated, it is solid gold 100% guaranteed or full refund will be issued. You can see areas in the pictures w t appears to be small amounts of silver coating, and patina over small portions of the ring. This is actually a film of tarnish which has formed over the centuries, and is removable through polishing. Tarnish is completely external to the gold and does not penetrate the surface. I have removed much of the tarnish, and encrustations from detailed portions and other areas of the ring. This tarnish is completely natural due to the age of the ring, and because the ring is 10k gold. If the new owner desires to polish the tarnish, the gold underneath will shine just as brilliant as the rest of the cleaned gold. I have almost come to appreciate this tarnish because of how it actually highlights the age, and many jewelers have never seen this type tarnish on rings because the extensive age goes well beyond anything they are accustomed to viewing.
