A hard to find set of 4 ALL sterling silver, large dinner/table KNIVES in the GORHAM LILLY pattern, Circa 1870 . Each piece has a pretty repousse floral motif in a medallion shaped panel. The backs are plain and unmongrammed, they have never been monogrammed or had any monogram removed . The decoration on all the pieces is crisp and sharp like the day they were made and they have a really nice old patina. The condition is excellent and the ends of the knives are nice and rounded with no wear, t is one very small minor ding and some minor scratches. All pieces are marked with STARR & MARCUS, PATENT 1870, STERLING, and the Gorham mark . This means that all pieces are made by Gorham in sterling and are Circa 1870 and retailed by Starr and Marcus. These knives are one piece of all solid sterling silver. The total weight for the 4 pieces is approx. 8 troy oz. Please feel free to email if you would like any additional photo's. Please see my other auctions for more American flatware including a set of 47 GORHAM LILLY PATTERN flatware and several groups of Tiffany Kings pattern flatware. Please email any questions and thanks for looking!
