Watch as this little item creates one large ripple in the Hall Collector Community. Because the color is highly collectible? No. The shape? nope. Because it is extremely rare and scarce? Not exactly. Because it's the only one of it's kind on E-bay, on the World Wide Web? This does have a little to do with it but not entirely. Every once in a blue moon an odd peice of Halls China will surface in a familar mold pattern but it will have design characteristics and details no one seems familar with. Often the details get dismissed in favor of the familiar pattern to which the odd pattern is then accredited to. In regard to the auction item up for bid which so happens to be a 1-1/2 cup teapot, you can see that it is very close in appearance to Hall's French teapot. A prestigous Teapot Auction held last May presented for auction this same make 3 cup teapot as listed today only brown in color which ended with a final bid of US 360. in the false presumption that this teapot is an extremely rare early 1 1/2 cup french teapot! Not by one collector BUT by TWO! 's the ripple. What you are viewing and bidding on is in fact a rare peice.
