This is a hard-to-find Hall China Company AUTUMN LEAF one pound covered butter dish. Autumn Leaf was first manufactured in 1933 for the Jewel Tea Company. It was given as an incentive to purchase more of their products..the more you bought, the bigger your collection of china became. Autumn Leaf was discontinued in 1976. The butter dish measures 8 1/2 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide and is 4 1/2 inches tall. T is some wear on the gold trim and a very small amount of staining on the inside edge of the top..it doesn't show on the outside (see pictures). T are no cracks or chips. This will make a nice addition to your Autumn Leaf or Hall China collection.
