Antique Hand-Carved Ivory Netsuke Mouse On Nut Up for your consideration is this vintage and fine, hand-carved, ivory netsuke shaped as a mouse sitting on top of a nut. Figure measures 1 5/8" long x 1 1/4" wide x 1 1/4" in height. Weight on my postal scales is 1 ounce, and is found in good condition, sports no areas of unsightly damage or repairs, just light surface scratches and the fine patina acquired with age (please note one ear of mouth shows a flea-bite sized nick). Underside of figure is signed with a set of chopmarks I haven't been able to identify. Part of a large lot of decorative arts purchased from an Alhambra estate.
