THEODORE HAVILAND LIMOGES PLATE 8 7/8" SCHLEIGER #161E PATTERN PINK ROSES/BLUE BOWS This is an auction for an absolutely beautiful hard-to-find antique THEODORE HAVILAND LIMOGES PLATE. The Plate is lavishly decorated with pink rambling roses on green vines and blue ribbon bows with a double gold trimmed semi scalloped outside edge. The pattern is Haviland's Schleiger #161E, and is very similar to the popular Haviland's Schleiger #340, Blank 304. The Plate measures approximately 8 7/8" in diameter . The marks on the back date this china to the early 1900's and are stamped in red and state "Theodore Haviland Limoges FRANCE," "Patent applied for." The Plate is in good condition and absolutely beautiful! T are no cracks, no chips, no crazing and the gold trim shows very minor usage wear. T is what appears to be a factory defect/crimp in the plate, but is really not that noticable unless looking for it. (See 2nd photo). On the underside t is a rough section that can be seen in photo 3. Small factory glaze and/or carbon dots and other imperfections are characteristic of antique china of this period and do not take away from the overall beauty of the china.!!!
