I don't know an actual date on this old coffee mug - I was told it was 1930's - 1940's. Olympia beer collector will probably know! This is an unusual shaped coffee mug .. very heavy porcelain like vintage restaurant ware. It has an exceptionally large handle as well. This coffee mug is an advertising piece for the Olympia Stubby - maybe when it was introduced. Wide gold paint on both sides. One side has an old Olympia logo with horseshoe and ivy leaves .. it says Olympia Beer " Stubby " " It's the Water " . The other side has the Navy insignia for a Chief Petty Officer .. and the symbol in the middle - i don't know. Looks like lightning bolts - maybe electrician? Eagle is painted in silver and the chief ranking is in wide gold and it says RMC Ault . This mug also has a gold band around the rim. Excellent find for vintage / rare / antique Naval memorabilia .. advertisement piece for Olympia Beer ! Olympia Stubby Bottle and label collectors will love this! Vintage Navy collectors, United States Military collectors , possibly WWII, Breweriana, Pacific Northwest Brewery lovers .. .. You'll love it. It's very Navy macho! Measures 4 1/4 inch tall and the rim at the top / widest measures 3 3/4 inches. This cup tapers down from the top to the bottom. Just look .. YOU WILL LOVE IT !!! and it's in very good condition !! Who knows how many
