RARE HELLMAN'S OLD CROW BOURBON WHISKEY DECANTER W/TOP
RARE HELLMAN'S OLD CROW BOURBON WHISKEY DECANTER W/TOP
Sold For:
Up for auction is a rare and very old HELLMAN'S OLD CROW Bourbon Whiskey glass decanter, very likely from the late 1800s. The elegant cut glass decanter measures 9.75" tall with top in place x 5.5" wide. The belly of the decanter has etched Old English lettering in gold : Hellman's Old Crow. The bottle is in beautiful condition other than it has a slight hazing on the inside (this may come clean) and a flea bite nick on the back. The glass has a slight lavender or amethyst hue. Very nice cut pattern on neck of the bottle, around belly, and a cut star-burst on the bottom. This rare piece would make a beautiful addition to any bar room or distillery advertisement collection. History piece: The Hellman Distilling Company of St. Louis, MO. had been using the name "Old Crow" on packages of straight rye and bourbon whiskey from 1863 until early 1900s. The Gaines Company of Woodford County, Kentucky took the Hellman's to the Supreme Court over the use and right of the name "Old Crow". Please ask questions prior to bidding and thank you for looking.
