From my personal vintage jewelry collection: This is a magnificent wide clamper bracelet and pendant set in a quite beautiful design that is signed by the very diverse and talented designer Hobe', who has fast become one of my very favorites. The fire opal, rhinestone and gold-toned metal scheme is one not often used by this fine designer, but, as usual, he gives it its own personality. It is rare to find, just gorgeous, and perfect for any occasion, elegant or casual. The cuff bracelet is quite wide and heavy, signed Hobe' in an oval cartouche on the inside, and the oval cartouche is on the back of the pendant. Each piece is centered around a large oval fire opal cabochon, glowing from within with shades of purple, lavender, bright pink, and many others. These opals have fancy prongs that are carved flowers in the same antiqued gold metalwork that they are mounted in. T is much elaborate carving around these stones, and, actually, all over the pieces. T are also carved gold crowns with emerald-green enameling, and small round rhinestones in purple and peridot. This is a very regal and ornate set. A favorite of mine, I hate letting it go.All stones are prong-set, and excepting the large fire opals, are faceted. The stones and detail-work are selected and positioned perfectly, so as to catch and refract each others' colors and light. This is one of the characteristics that sets Hobe' apart as a designer, and this attribute is masterfully executed in this classic set. To me, this is Hobe' at his best.This sparkling bouquet of color and texture is set in a very beautiful and heavy well-made design on both bracelet and pendant. I see no stones missing. Amazingly, t appears to be only minimal wear to the stones and to the metalwork, any of which would be understandable, given the estimated age of the pieces. All stones look wonderful. All the stones are in good, clear condition. T is so much glitter and sparkle in these pieces, they simply look marvelous for their estimated age!The set is of excellent quality and both pieces are very wearable for their weights & sizes, as I have come to expect from this exceptional designer. They were apparently very well-cared-for by its previous owner(s). The double-hinged clamper bracelet measures approx. 2 1/8 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep in inside diameter, 1 3/8 inches high at the centerpiece in front, and tapering to 3/4 inch in back. The inside circumference is approx. 6 inches. I have a 6-inch wrist, and it fits me perfectly. Both pieces are quite stunning. T is no safety chain, but the hinges appear nice and tight. Measuring approx. 24 inches long from end-to-end, the chain from which the pendant hangs is in great shape. The pendant measures approx. 1 7/8 inches long and 1 3/8 inches wide at the centerpiece. This is an unusual and beautiful wonderful Hobe' set that I hate parting with!
