Early whiskey advertising from Hawaii is rare, and this is no exception. Shot glass, 1 7/8" tall, bright gold rim, H HACKFELD AND COMPANY LIMITED, HONOLULU (text is transparent below a detailed picture of a corner building with a domed roof flying a flag). H Hackfeld Co. Ltd. was established in Hawaii in the 1850's and apparently moved into the old court house (which explains the classical dome on the building shown on the shot glass). In "Hawaiian Bottles of Long Ago", page 89, Elliott lists "H Hackfield & Co" as a wholesale liquor company operating in Honolulu in 1896. T is a thin scratch on the design down the middle, I can't tell if the glass was scratched inmaking or the design after it was applied, it is only apparent on close inspection. Five buck shipping, personal check, money order, or paypal.
