We are pleased to offer for auction a rare heavy glass sculpture of a sea gull in flight made and signed by Alfredo Barbini. Rarely do you find pieces with the etched signature of Mr. Barbini. The family from which this magnificant piece was purchased told me it was purchased in Italy in the 1940s. Wingspan is 21 inches, and height to the tip of the highest wing is 13 inches. Length of the body is 13 inches. The body of the bird is white glass cased in clear with the cased head being a smokey gray. The base represents an ocean wave and is smokey gray in color. Weight is 13 pounds unpacked. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. Some scratches on the base. Please email me with any questions before placing your bid. For returns, I must be notified within three days after you have received the item. Item must be returned within seven days in exact same condition as when it was originally shipped. We try very hard to describe all items accurately, but if an item is inadvertently misrepresented, or t is a condition issue we missed, we will gladly accept a return.
