Folks, this unique West Troy Pottery batter pitcher has not been shopped...it is straight out of an attic in the Albany, New York area. Measures a huge 11" tall and 8" around at the middle. Has a large #6 on the front and is embossed West Troy Pottery. Also has finger prints in the Albany Brown Slip glaze at the bottom. No cracks or major chips...two small "flea bite" flakes on very top edge near spout...easily touched up. This batter pitcher is as near mint as you can get without being mint. All character marks are from the manufacturer (glaze pops, uneven glaze). This is a striking piece..I have shown it to 4 separate GOOD collectors of stoneware and not one of them has seen another. It is heavy....and good...and with that, Good LUCK!! |
