From Rufus Wood Leigh, "Nevada Place Names: Their Origin and Significance": "Imlay (Pershing County) is a Southern Pacific Railroad town just east of the upper end of Tye Patch Reservoir. The town was surveyed for the railroad circa 1907 by a civil engineer named Imlay for whom the town was named." T are bends in two of the corners, but these do not extend into the photograph. The image is clear with good contrast. The handwriting is readable and the postmark (August 6, P.M., 1912) is also fully readable.
