This is a RARE Original INCUNABULA Bible Leaf (page) from a "LATIN BIBLE" printed in Nuremberg, Germany by Anton Koberger in c.1500. Folio size: 8" by 11 1/2". Single sheet/2-sided. Double columns of Latin language text. Extensively rubricated with hand painted Uncial initial letters and text emphases in red inks. Very Nice Condition....This is a very late example of an "incunabula" leaf (a word meaning "in the cradle"), i.e. works made during the "infancy" of printing/approx. the first 50 years after the invention of printing, circa 1450-1500. The leaf offered is from the Book of Isaiah. An Attractive and Displayable Bible Leaf, today 508 years old! Low beginning bid!
