L@@K !!! RARE Vintage (Antique?) International Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) PATRIARCHS MILITANT Ceremonial Uniform Jacket !!! NO RESERVE!!!

You are bidding on Very Rare, Vintage PATRIARCHS MILITANT Uniform Jacket made for the Patriarchs Militant, the Ceremonial Uniformed Rank of the International Order of Odd Fellows by The Cincinnati Regalia Company in Cincinnati, Ohio probably sometime around the early 1900's. This appears to be a Museum Quality piece and I don't think you will see to many of these come up for Auction.

The Jacket appears to be a dark, navy blue color and appears to be made of 100% wool with a black satin lining. It has an nine (9) button front closure but only eight (8) brass buttons are on the front. The missing button may have been removed by the original owner to allow for his sash to fit across the front (NO sash is included). It has a two (2) brass button cuff on each sleeve and four (4) brass buttons on the back. All the Brass Buttons have the Crown, Crook and Sword Emblem and are marked, "PATRIARCHS MILITANT IOOF." The Uniform Jacket has an embroidered Crown emblem sewn on at each cuff and on the collar are the embroidered Crook and Sword emblems of the Patriarch Militant. T is one small front pocket at the right side of the waist. It has clips on each shoulder for the epaulets but none are included with this sale. It has a metal clip at the left side of the waist which I assume is for a sword belt (NO belt is included). T are a few small spots of moth damage. The ones I have noticed from my inspection are two spots at the left epaulet, two groups of small spots on the bottom front flap, a spot at the top edge of the back of the collar and a spot inside at the right inside sleeve but considering the age of this Jacket, they are not too bad and I presume an experienced seamstress could patch or repair the spots. The Jacket does not have a measurement inside but it appears to be a Men's size Small/Medium but are some simple measurements to help you with your sizing. If you need a measurement that I did not include, please email me and I will try to get that back to you. From shoulder seam to shoulder seam is approximately 15". From the top of the collar to the bottom seam is approximately 39-1/2". The waist measurement is approximatley 32". The sleeve length from the top of the shoulder seam to the cuff is approximately 24-1/2" and the measurement around the collar is approximately 14".

The Patriarchs Militant fraternal order was first established in the United States by the Sovereign Grand Lodge - the international governing body of Odd Fellowship - back in 1886 and continues to this day. They are a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), one of the oldest and largest Fraternal Orders in the world today and are considered the Uniformed Ranks. This organization is very closely related to the Masons.

A great Vintage Unform Jacket for yourself or to give as a gift to that special Odd Fellow friend or loved one!!
