This beautiful vase measures 5 1/8"s tall from base to highest point on the brim of the hat. The opening at the top of the vase measures 1 1/2"s . I have searched extensively and have found only one similar Lady Head Vase. That particular piece was listed in David Baron's book. I have not had access to this book, but I would not be surprised to find this in the book. If you look at the pictures, you will see on the bottom the stamp from Japan and a wreath design above it. This piece would be a wonderful addition to any collectors set of Lady Head Vases. This one is very delicate with the slight blush on the cheeks to the poised raised and manicured hand. Her eyes are downturned and closed. Her short blonde hairstyle is very stylish for the era, along with the hat. The cuff on her sleeve, her collar and band around her hat are all outlined with gold and are the only shiny places on the vase. The rest of the vase is in a subdued matte finish. T are three tiny blemishes, one is a small scratch on the back on the right shoulder and the other looks like a slight smudge at the top brim of the hat and at the top near the opening. I have only dry dusted her, nothing with water or solutions of any kind. I find no hairline cracks or crazing. Please ask questions before you bid and I will do my best to clarify anything you may need to know.
