Late 1800's fraternal sword by Charles Svenson of Cincinnati Ohio. Charles Svenson was in the Regalia business from 1881 thru 1885 in Cincinnati. This sword which may or may not be related to the Knights Templar is in pretty good shape for its age. On the sword is etched Ino Fessler which would have been the original owners name. On the reverse is RCU Knights of St. John,. The Knights of St. John were an elite organization and have been in existance since about the 12th century. This is a highly detailed sword with the Maltese cross on the scabbard among other decorations. Please see pics for more detail. please ask any questions prior to bidding.
