DESCRIPTION:
A superb large rare antique Chinese pottery model of a shrine (or House), dating to the Ming dynasty, circa 350 years ago. Decorated with green & amber glazes & red painted panels & finials. Buddha is not included in this auction.

SIZE:
470mm (18.8 inches) tall CONDITION:
Some expected degradation, chips, minor losses, abrasions, firing cracks & defects, as a consequence of extended burial and subsequent cleaning. Possibly restored. In need of a good clean.

INSURANCE:
New Zealand Post does not insure antiques unless they are sent by their prohibitively expensive Courier Post. However, Allen's Antiques offers insured air post to a maximum cover of $US500, to the following countries: U.S.A., Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Any antique item sent by economy post is uninsurable, and at the buyer's risk.
If the combined cost of the item plus the postage/shipping exceeds $US500, then for the item to be insured, it must be sent by United Parcel Service. Items sent by United Parcel Service may be insured up to $US40,000.
Otherwise, insurance is optional, and if goods are sent uninsured, they are at the buyer's risk. Insurance costs 3% (of the combined cost of the item, plus postage/shipping), with a minimum charge of $US5.50. LAYBY (LAYAWAY) PLAN
