RARE! M1839-57 US Infantry belt plate; small 41x71mm RARE! and excellent condition, original US M1839-57 Infantry belt plate; correct small size of 41x71mm. Plate is a BELT plate, not the more commonly found box plate. Face still retains a lot of the original gilt over the brass. Came in from an old collection of belt and cartridge box plates, and Civil War through Spanish-American War campaign medals. Check back often for other GREAT pieces from this collection!
