U.S. BIDDING ONLY ON THIS ITEM
Up for bids is a Rare M1899/1902 Remington Rolling Block Sword Bayonet . This is a longer version of the M1899 Remington Knife Bayonet, made for the Mexican Remington Rolling Block. The overall length of this bayonet is 20 3/8", including the scabbard. The blade is 16" in length, and the hilt is 4 1/2" including the crossguard. The blade is fullered on both sides, with the name, "Remington Arms Co. Ilion, New York", stamped into one of the fullers. This bayonet is presently mounted on an, "October 22nd 1902" patent Remington Rolling Block. The scabbard has an overall patina, and has a frog permanently riveted to it. The leather is in great shape, and is still soft and pliable. T are no nicks in the bayonet blade, & it has never been sharpened. As you can see from the reflections in the photos, the blade has an overall sheen. For a bayonet that is over 100 years old , I'd say it is in very good to excellent condition. This item is being sold AS-IS, so please look at the photos carefully, and don't hesitate to ask questions before bidding. Payment is due within seven days from the end of the auction. PAYMENTS ACCEPTED: Money Order, Cashiers Check, or Personal Check. If personal check is used, allow seven to ten days to clear! Shipping and handling is $16.00 including insurance.
