*RARE - MARI SIMMULSON - UPSALA-EKEBY * Fantastic vase made by Mari Simmulson for Upsala Ekeby in the 60´s. This vase is called "Mariana", and is the biggest of three vases in this serie. Marked UE, SWEDEN, UE - number: 4440 and signed with ms (for Mari Simmulson) in a bubble. Size: height 8,7" (22 cm) and diameter 5,5" (14 cm) Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. During the 30´s she worked at Arabia in Finland. 1944 she arrived to Sweden and worked with Wilhelm Kage at Gustavsbergs studio. She begin to worked at Upsala-Ekeby 1949 and t she come to be one of the most prominent artistic profiles. She stayed at Upsala-Ekeby until 1972. Mari Simmulson is represented in many places, for examble in Nationalmusem in Stockholm, Kunstindustrimuseet in Trondheim - Norway, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, museum in Tallin, museum in Faenza - Italy.
