From my personal vintage jewelry collection: This is a beautiful Mazer/Jomaz rhinestone bracelet. It is in an early Art Deco style, which is fabulous, very heavy, and well-made, as is expected with this wonderful designer. It is faintly marked "Mazer" on the back of the center link. It's faded and pretty hard for my old eyes to make out. Some history on the design house: "Founded in 1927 in New York, the company went out of business in the late 1970s. Mazer jewelry is very high quality. Andre Fleuridas designed much early 1950s jewelry and in the 1970s, Adolfo even designed some pieces for the company. Early jewelry is marked "Mazer Bros" or "Joseph Mazer". Later pieces are marked MAZER or JOMAZ." This bracelet is in an elegant design, consisting of brilliant open-backed emerald-cut emerald green rhinestones, complemented with tiny clear pave'-set rounds. The larger green stones are all bright and clear with minimal if any wear to them. Alot of the tiny rounds have darkened over the years, perhaps replacements, and the shiny gold and silver-toned metalwork shows some age-appropriate wear. Despite the wear disclosed previously, it doesn't detract in the least from the dazzling display, and the overall beauty of the bracelet. It is an exquisite, gorgeous antique bracelet in great condition for a piece of this age! T is only slight wear to the metal, and the green stones look amazing. A gorgeous item, it is so classic and classy, that it makes it fitting for any occasion. The emerald stones are prong-set, while the clear stones are paste-set. Nevertheless what I have disclosed, t is nothing detracting from the overall beauty of this piece -- it's just awesome. The bracelet measures approx. 7 inches long by 5/8 inch wide at the widest points. It does not have a safety chain, but does have a nice tight clasp which may not be original, but works great just the same. This is an exquisite Jomaz/Mazer bracelet! Always beautiful, well-constructed, and always in style. You will not be disappointed in it! ***Pictures always make the pieces less brilliant & colorful than they are in real life!****All sales final.
