Up for auction I have this rare 1800's Canadian salt glazed stoneware storage jar from the McGlade & Schuler pottery of Paris Ontario Canada. They were in business from 1869 - 1873. Pieces of pottery from this pottery are extremely rare. I've only ever seen one flower decorated piece in 25 years of collecting, so a plain storage jar is extremely rare. T are a few chips as shown in the photo's and a spider crack on the back. The blobs of clay on the bottom are from the potter. It stands 10 inches high, probably a 1 gallon. T is a modest reserve on this rare piece so someone could get a real bargain. Guaranteed old and original piece! Buyer pays only actual shipping cost. For shipping cost to the U.S.A.
