Original and Rare! A great piece for the political and rock n roll collector .... 3/4 ("three for") RARE McGovern poster from famous concert... This poster came down off the McGovern office on Wilshire Blvd after the campaign was over (1972) and it has been stored in a tube ever since. It measures 38" x 24" (matching 3" button already sold) and is known by collectors to be unique and rarely on the market. Barbra Streisand, Carole King and James Taylor gave a one time concert in LA on April 15, 1972 to benefit George McGovern's anti (Vietnam) war campaign. The list of "ushers" at the bottom of the poster include Warren Beatty, Julie Christie, Jack Nicholson, Goldie Hawn, Raquel Welch (!) and Gene Hackman. This was an historical political and musical event. This poster has some minor damage around edges (see photos) and a piece of tape left on from w it was attached to that California wall. Similar sales over the years have ranged up to $3,000 - depending on condition. We have reduced the price to reflect the wear and tear from this ORIGINAL POSTER FROM 1972.
