HUGE Antique Meriden Britannia Double Walled Pitcher. I have tried unsuccessfully to clean the tarnish off of this piece. I was told to never use silver polish, so I have not. I tried hot water and baking soda with foil method and the water was very dirty after, but the tarnish remains. This is a truly beautiful piece and perhaps with the right polish, it can shine again like new, or perhaps you like the patina that has settled in over 100 years time. The interior is not too bad but could use a good cleaning as well. Figural swan at the top, victorian etchings along the entire body. Pitcher is large and stands a hair under 12" tall to the top of the swan, and is 7 3/4" across the base. This is a VERY heavy pitcher as well. No reserve!
