This is a beautiful specimen of the rare of Seymchan meteorite. This meteorite was found in Russia in 1967. Two pieces were found, but some friends of mine from Russia went t over the summer and found many smaller pieces. These new pieces are a mixture of some complete iron pieces, some with silicates, and some with perfect pallasite crystals. I bought a few kilos and cut these pieces myself, they are STUNNING, the crystals and the etch on the larger piece is superb. This piece weighs 92.3 grams and is a beautiful iron-rich piece with two opaque brown crystals. The etch pattern is stunning though! It is 80mm long by 38 mm wide by 5.9 mm thick. This meteorite was classified as a IIE silicated Iron, but the new pieces forced a reclassification into an ungrouped Pallasite instead. I am a meteorite dealer and fully gaurantee the authenticity of every meteorite and tektite specimen I sell. Be sure to see me in the March 1999 issue of the Smithsonian Magazine, I am featured in an article about meteorite hunters! I am also featured in Fortune Small Business magazine.
