This very rare beer stein by master Stahl .3L. This is a .3 liter stein that was listed in the Mettlach Book in 1994 for $550. This stein was manufactured in 1901. It is a Cameo relief with the figure protruding from the body of the stein. The material used in Cameo reliefwork is more translucent, procelain like material allowing for shadings of background colors to show through the thinnest portions of the relief. The figures on this stein are perfect and are complemented by a beautiful green background. This is a highly collectable stein with no defects. The details on the base of the stein including the castle are perfect. This is a great Mettlach Stein to say the least.
