Welcome to my auction! I was lucky enough to purchase a private collection of Carnival Glass. I have over 75 items I will be listing in the next few weeks. This auction is for an Olive Green Carnival Glass Deep Bon Bon. This is the "Night Stars" pattern made by the Millersburg Glass Company in the early 1900's. It is unmarked. You can reference this pattern in the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass, 9th Edition on page 177. This beautiful Bon Bon is 2 3/4" tall, 6" long, and almost 5 1/2" handle to handle. This is listed as RARE with a Book Value you wouldn't believe! The inside has the stippled pattern with vivid and bright Carnival iridescence. A deep center leads to a shiny bronzy radium top and outside - this is gorgeous! The base is a true Olive Green - in fact, holding it up to the sun it all looks that color from the back. Now, the particulars: T is one pinpoint flea bite on the edge on the front. (see closeup) On the lines going down the middle of the handle - one has a shallow flake chip. (see closeup) One has 2-3 teeny pinpoint flea bites. The base has some shallow roughness, like a vegetable peeler peeled away some of it.
