DONAN ANTIQUES ESTATE & COLLECTIONS OF DECORATIVE ARTS NO RESERVE AUCTION DESCRIPTION: A beautifully handpainted, Mt. Washington, brides basket with floral's and cartouches in rich enamel colors outlined in gold inside this pink satin ruffled rim. Basket sits inside exquisite silver holder which has a very detailed floral footed base with acorns and oak leaves going up both sides of handle. The holder has incised marks on bottom(see picture) which reads, "Standard Silver Co. Ltd., Toronto", "Hard White metal", and inside flag it reads, "Quadruple plate". CONDITION: Basket is in excellent condition, no chips, no repairs, no cracks and very bright vivid colors on decoration. T are black marks on the underside of the basket which are from the silver holder, which do not in anyway detract from the beauty of this piece. Silver holder, is very detailed and in good condition with the exception of a few black marks which I think the silver has worn off, but not sure of this. T is no damage to the holder and basket fits inside holder perfectly. DIMENSIONS: Basket is, 10 1/2"d. X 4"h. excluding the silver holder.
